Reacton Fire

ELECTRICAL CABINET FIRE PROTECTION

Reacton - Automatic Suppression for Control Panels and Enclosed Electrical Equipment

Reacton systems provide fast, automatic fire suppression directly inside electrical cabinets and enclosures, stopping faults before they escalate into major failures. The system detects heat at the source and activates instantly to stop electrical faults turning into major failures. No power, no electronics, and no downtime from false alarms.

Key Features

Rapid heat-activated response

Clean-agent suppression for electronics

Works with no power or wiring

Ideal for enclosed electrical spaces

Compact and simple to install

Low maintenance

Minimises downtime after an incident

Globally certified technology

How the Reacton System Works

1. Detection tube installed inside the cabinet

A heat-sensitive pneumatic tube is routed around high-risk components within the enclosure. It sees what sensors and smoke detection often miss: heat right at the source.

2. Tube bursts at fire temperature

When exposed to a fast-rising localised fire, the tube ruptures at the closest point to the heat. No power or electronics are required.

3. Automatic clean-agent discharge

The pressure drop triggers the cylinder valve, releasing a clean agent (such as Novec 1230). The agent extinguishes the fire without damaging sensitive electrical equipment.

4. Minimal residue and quick reset

The clean agent leaves almost no residue, allowing systems to be returned to service with minimal disruption.

Why Choose Reacton
for Electrical Cabinets

Stops fires before they escape the enclosure

Protects mission-critical equipment

Reduces unplanned downtime

Simple annual maintenance

Proven performance in harsh industrial settings

Envirotec supplies, installs and maintains the full Reacton cabinet protection range, backed by trusted clean-agent technology.

Why Electrical Cabinets Need Fire Protection

Electrical panels are one of the most common ignition points in industrial and commercial sites. Loose connections, overloaded circuits and component failures can ignite fast, especially in enclosed spaces with limited airflow.

Reacton protects these critical areas by detecting the fire right where it starts, before it can damage equipment, shut down operations or spread to nearby assets.

Works for:

  • Control panels

  • MCC cabinets

  • Data and comms cabinets

  • Battery systems

  • PLC enclosures

  • CNC and machinery control panels

  • Switchboards and distribution boards

FAQ

Does Reacton require any power or wiring?

No. It is a fully mechanical system that works even during a power loss.

A clean agent such as Novec 1230, which is safe for electronics and leaves almost no residue.

Inside the enclosure, routed around the components most likely to fail or overheat.

Once a year. Maintenance is simple and fast.

Yes. Reacton systems are compact and ideal for retrofitting.

The cylinder is replaced or refilled, and the detection tube is renewed. The cabinet can often be returned to service quickly due to the clean agent.
